The nodes (points) that make up the shape will become visible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Single Selection:<\/strong> Click on any single node to select it.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Visual Cue:<\/em> A selected node appears larger than unselected nodes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Note:<\/em> When a single node is selected, bezier handles (arrows) appear, allowing you to adjust the curvature of the segment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advanced Selection Methods<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Range Selection (Shift Key):<\/strong> To select a sequence of consecutive nodes:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the first node.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold down the <strong>Shift<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the last node in the sequence. All nodes in between will be selected.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Toggle Selection (Ctrl Key):<\/strong> To select non-consecutive nodes or deselect specific ones:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold down the <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on nodes. If a node is unselected, it becomes selected. All nodes inside the rectangle will be selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Right-Click Menu Options:<\/strong> Right-click on any node to access special selection tools:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Select Polyline:<\/strong> Selects all nodes belonging to a specific part of a complex object (e.g., a single petal in a flower or one letter in a word).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Select All:<\/strong> Selects every node in the object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Invert Selection:<\/strong> Deselects currently selected nodes and selects everything else.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Useful Tip:<\/strong> You can combine the <strong>Marquee<\/strong> (drag) method with the <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> or <strong>Shift<\/strong> keys to add or remove groups of nodes from your current selection quickly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part 2: How to Add New Nodes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding nodes gives you more control points to reshape an object, which is useful for creating complex curves or sharp corners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 1: Right-Click Menu<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Right-click on the outline of the shape where you want the new node.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Add Node<\/strong> from the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 2: Double-Click<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Move your mouse to the specific point on the outline where you need a node.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Double-click<\/strong> the left mouse button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 3: The Plus (+) Shortcut<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hover your mouse cursor over the desired location on the outline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>Plus (+)<\/strong> key on your keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 4: Adding Nodes to Segments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a node exactly in the middle of a segment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the node immediately <em>before<\/em> the segment you want to split.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>Plus (+)<\/strong> key. A new node will appear in the middle of the following segment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Useful Tip regarding Node Types:<\/strong> Newly added nodes may appear as &#8220;Smooth,&#8221; &#8220;Auto-smooth,&#8221; or &#8220;Cusp&#8221; nodes depending on the surrounding geometry.
